Mad Men

Are you watching?

I am and I will admit that it is all over the place this season, but when Henry rammed his car into Don's boxes that had been left in the garage, I thought about what an unclassy thing it was to do, but how good it must have felt.

But, Don still had the last laugh as he put the unopened boxes straight into the dumpster.

I fell asleep before the last 5 minutes were finished, so I need to go back and find out if Don's 2nd date ended as surprising as his 1st.

Lost lost

I watched the very first episode and didn't "get it." I remember there was a plane crash and a polar bear.

So, I've never watched it since.

I think everyone else that I know on the planet (or at least on Facebook) is currently watching.

I'm watching House Hunters International.

La-ooser, I'll admit it.

Maybe I'll catch up via DVD's or on demand TV. Should I? Have I really missed out for the last 5 year!?

Alone on my little island

Am I the only one in America (and possibly beyond) that just doesn't like American Idol? I have never watched an entire season and really have no desire. Sure, I can appreciate good singers and I'll give a shout out to the many North Carolinians who have done very well on the show.

But, I just don't get the infatuation.

I will say that I do like Kristin Chenoweth, so when Hubby has it on, I'll at least turn my head to see what she's saying. After all, if you can belt it out on Broadway as Glinda the Good Witch, then you have an idea of what makes a good singer.

So, I'll just stay on my little island watching some other bad TV show.

Feuling my addiction

Who else is watching Mad Men and who is else going to be so addicted for another season? We actually were up to watch it on Sunday, but I've been forgetting to blog about it.

I love a good sample sale

There was a great sale today with tons of bags, totes, storage boxes from Buckhead Betties and Creative Containers. Kelly B. Rightsell was also there with all of her adorable children's items. Kelly's stuff is great and it was the perfect place to find some cute accessories for the nursery at really great deals.

I bought this sweet print. I also bought this one and this one, but wished we could have found this one. I've decided I won't unwrap any of the twice blessed ones until Baby A & Baby B are here, just in case we don't have the one we need. That, my friends is the only downside about not knowing the genders.

I didn't see this one at the sale, but I think Zeus and Zoe would have approved.

OK, enough sappiness for today. It's rainy here, the dogs are snoozing, Hubby has gone to watch the Carolina game, and I think I'm heading back to the sofa to see if the True Life marathon is still on MTV. I've already seen part of I'm a Southern Belle and I'm an Alcoholic. Nice, eh?

I'm here

I promise I'm not suffocating under a large pile of baby bedding. Thanks to everyone for their input!

Last night, I told Hubby what pattern I was leaning towards and he looked at my incredulously and said, "You've made a decision???" He's a funny one, that Hubby.

I am leaning towards the Pottery Barn Stella pattern (pattern B from my previous post), but I'll use one of the pique bed skirts with the light green stripe. At least that's what I leaning towards right now this very minute.

In other news, do I need to seek help for the fact that I DVR'd 2 episodes of the Hills and watched them when I came home from lunch yesterday? I'm sure I killed brain cells wasting that hour of my life.

And, while I am pregnant and I appreciate people looking after me, if one more person asks me how I'm feeling, in that voice that is usually saved to ask about a terminally ill Grandma, I'm going to scream! I have resolved never to ask this of anyone that I meet who is pregnant. Instead, I'll ask about their cute haircut, their shoes, or maybe even that new maternity shirt that they have on and somehow they managed to leave the house without spilling toothpaste or oatmeal on their ever growing chest!

New Class Idea: Self-Defense - Just Bite 'em

Did anyone watch 24 last night? I'm still laughing, and almost nauseous from the scene where Jack Bauer bites the terrorists jugular vain to kill him!?!

I know that as women we've been taught to scratch, kick, bite, spit, etc. if ever faced with an attack. And, if I am ever in this situation, I hope that I remember everything I've been taught! Somehow, I just never imagined myself locking into my attacker's neck with my teeth. Do you ask for a napkin or perhaps some sort of anti-bacterial mouth rinse when you are through?

I'll be tuned in again tonight to see what Jack does next!
