It's a beautiful place...

Sephora, that is. We don't have one in our city, so I typically shop online. I happened to be in Durham today, where one just opened. Oh, it is just the most glorious place for makeup, shampoo, skin serums and potions. I didn't buy a lot today, but I did manage to pick up:

Stila lip glaze in berry

Philosophy Amazing Grace concentrated perfume oil

Sephora professional flat eyeliner brush

One thing I looked at, but wasn't ready to purchase is the Bare Escentuals foundation kit. It comes with the brushes and the powders. Has anyone used it? When I've seen it advertised, I always think that it looks amazing. I'm not a huge make up wearer, so I'm still a bit of a skeptic. Would love to hear more about it if there are any users out there!

I've never used it but I have a few friends who do and their skin always looks amazing. I'm starting to think it's a worthwhile investment.

Swirl, tap, buff!

I can tell you all day and night how much I love, love, love bare minerals. Get back in your car, head back to sephora and get the starter kit.

I started using bare minerals 3 years ago after being fed up with now being able to find a foundation or concealer that matched my fair skin. It was always either too dark or too white think kabuki. Anyway, I started using bare minerals and have been hooked over since.

My complexion has improved since using the products, they are light as a feather and it truly feels like I am not wearing any makeup at all.

The best thing about the starter kit is that it comes with all the brushes you need (although I really like the kabuki brush to apply the mineral veil.)

Feel free to ask any questions you want - I'd be happy to share.

I adore the bare minerals as well. In fact, my dermatologist talked me into using it because it's really good for your skin. Definitely get the starter kit, too, because the brushes are really pricey by themselves.

I've been wondering about this too, I keep putting it in my virtual shopping cart and then taking it out again. It looks like such a great product, but I'm afraid I would be in over my head with the swirling and tapping etc. Is it really simple to apply? And is the coverage really minimal or can a girl truly hide her under-eye circles with it?

Libby, they have a special product just for the circles!

I use this stuff too. I have the starter kit and I really like it. LLL, look online to see if there are any bare escentuals stores around. I was going to buy my kit at ulta but I endedup getting it at the actual store and really appreciated the help of an actual BE employee...also their kit was a better value. get points for every 10 bucks you spend and a discount during your birth month. It's good stuff. There's a store in Charlotte, NC

I will actually be in Charlotte for work tomorrow. If I have time, I am going to purchase the kit. I currently use the little philosophy powder with applicator on top that has broken, so it's a huge mess. If not, I'll be back in Durham the following week with the Sephora. I also noticed on the BE website, they have a video explaining how to use the products! Let the fun begin!

I love bare minerals too! I just purchased the starter kit from Sephora about two weeks ago and I'm hooked! It is so light and the colors blend perfectly!
